Microwave Pizza Warner and storage container designed in SolidWorks and Keyshot for Progressive International. Sold in Target, Walmart, Bed Bath and Beyond and online. Units sold: almost 500,000. These renderings in Keyshot are of the SolidWorks 3D CAD dataset I created that was sent to China where the solidmodel is put into Surfcam for 3D milling to cut the steel tools for injection molding. The CAD dataset I created contains the proper wall thicknesses for the material, draft and parting lines. This way my design intent was carried intact all the way into production which saves time and with no errors to correct. The research I did to design this product was understanding how college students store and reheat leftover pizza slices. The ribbed design is patented and keeps the pizza raised up so excess moisture can evaporate during reheating in the microwave which results in a more crispy crust. The left over pizza is stored in the pizza slice shaped container with a snap on lid
