This campus courtyard design utilizes a passive space for its shade and adjacency to classrooms and pedestrian traffic.
Analysis of this space proved that sun and shade would play a vital role in the orientation of seating. Current pedestrian use shows that multiple sources of egress and ingress happen laterally throughout the courtyard.
