We began our project by researching the environment, users, exisiting kiosks, and gripes with the existing model.
There was also research done on the body, ADA requirements, internal kiosk components, and color theory.
After completing our research, we decided to split up and create individual initial concepts. Each of us sketched 24 original ideas and then we reconvened and chose 12 favorites based on a concept assessment sheet.
Once the midpoint had been built, we went through an extensive testing process, which included interviewing people of varying demographics.
After completing our final model, we put our model through a round of final testing.
This included surveying users in it’s natural environment of Barnes&Noble.
