This is the initial draft for an animation created for internal distribution at Microsoft. The original animator had a short-term medical emergency and I was called in to complete this draft. I was given a rough storyboard, about 30% of the visual assets and about 5% was already animated. So, I found or created 70% of the assets and did 95% of the animation.
This piece was used ambiently at a "getting to know you" client meeting. The client wanted to understand the culture of our workplace. I came up with the concept of targeting key areas of client interest and collected responses from coworkers. I designed, animated and found the music for this piece.

Photovoltaics Interactive - One of a series of Math and Science interactives built using Microsoft Blend for a Microsoft Encarta project. I developed the overall visual design and layout concept and art directed the designer. For this piece I did the technical direction of the developer. I also contributed to the building in Blend and did the initial testing.
Monocots/Dicots Interactive - One of a series of Math and Science interactives built in Microsoft Blend for a Microsoft Encarta project. I developed the overall visual design concept for the look and feel and art directed the designer. In addition to finding reference images for the illustrations, I contributed to the building in Blend as well as the UI/UX and layout.
Nintendo's Pokemon Learn to Play Demo. I coded this, animated 50% of it and helped edit and re-write voice over script.
Nintendo’s Hamtaro Hamjam - There were multiple dance animations in this project (not created by me) and it was running too slowly to work well. I optimized the art and the animations to run smoothly.
MSN prototype for usability testing. I built and coded this in Flash. I also designed and built UI components for the testing.
Microsoft Works In Product Tour. I developed, coded, and built a localization system for this product so that international teams could update all of the on screen text via a text file (and not have to re-output the file). I also re-animated all of the animated text boxes. This team brought me back a year later to change out all of the chrome to accommodate an updated user interface.
I built and coded this prototype software piece that was used as a demo in a Microsoft conference keynote speech.
Mac Office 98 Demos. I designed, built, coded, animated, did the sound production, optimized graphics and lead a team of animators for this series of demos for Microsoft Mac Office 98. These demos won a Macromedia "Shocked Site of the Day" award.
Microsoft IntelliMouse Demos. I co-produced the audio recording and directed the photo shoot. Additionally, I designed the layout and UI, created art work, and did the coding. The demo was built in Director and coded with Lingo. I optimized it to play seamlessly on the bandwidths available at the time.
Microsoft Encarta - For this extensive educational interactive, I worked in collaboration with the Product Manager to create the UI, interactive design, and color coding schema. I Art Directed the creation of the main maps (not shown here).
Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Visitor Map. I researched and coded an overlay map using the google map system. Also, created the overlay map using a branded design style for the campus map.
