good ad bad ad - The original ad was very cluttered and hard to read. The picture looked cropped and not professional, so I changed the picture and added more flavor. The black background looks more professional as well.
buisness card - I used the color blue throughout the whole card because it flowed smoothly. I used the font for inertia because it was modern but readable.

color theory 2
magazine - I chose this image for the front cover because I wanted to give off a modern but artsy feel to the magazine. I chose the font to match the modern feel of the layout and the layout was meant to be very clean and readable.
magazine 2 - I wanted the layout to have a modern feel to it and that is why I used this picture. It portrays the magazine to be fast-paced but modern as well. I matched the colors with the front page of the magazine.
magazine 3 - For the final page I wanted to use the same type of picture so it flowed and the same colors are used.
typography 1 - I used the letter M because I thought it was a very pliable letter that I could use for my design. I used an alternating pattern to make it unique.
Typography 2 - The letter K was fun to work with and it almost looks like they are so close together yet you can still tell what the letter is, I did this on purpose to give the design a different look. It almost looks like its in a different language.
Typography 3 - I used the letter y in a way that it looked like they were floating in the air as well as it almost looks like they are flying backwards.
color theory 3 - This is supposed to portray an angry image. I used the eyes so it looks like someone is looking at you in an angry way. By using black, red and orange, I made it look like even more intense.
elements of design 1 - This design is supposed to be texture. As you can tell by all the boxes layered on top of one another. I wanted it to feel as though someone can grab into the box and grab all of these boxes at one time.
elements of design - This design is meant to be direction by the boxes following one another.
elements of design 3 - This is supposed to be assymentrical design, pretty explanatory.
elements of design 4 - This is supposed to be scale due to the small box compared to the larger one.
elements of design 5 - This is a symetrical design due to the boxes matching up against one another.
elements of design 6 - This is supposed to follow the rythm and repetition design. All of the boxes are the same and they connect with one another.
Expressive typography 1 - I used the word thin and stretched the word to match its meaning.
Expressive typography 2 - I used the word grow but changed the color to green to make the word look like a plant growing.
Expressive typograhy 3 - I used the word blurry and made it hard to read to match the meaning. I like the red with it becuase sometimes when I am trying to read a word or a sign and I cant see it, I am almost in an urgancy state which I associate with the color red.
Expressive typography 4 - When you think of something scary, yellow and black always come to mind and that is why I used these colors to portray the meaning of the word.
expressive typography 5 - I made the letters different sizes to almost portray a tall building but instead of a building I used letters. The blue color almost makes the word extra tall.
corporate identity 1 - When I think of inertia, I think of an object that is moving. I used the color blue because blue to me portrays a progressive and postive color and that is what Inertia is doing.
Event poster - The Astroid Galaxy Tour is a band that wants to be different. They are almost a band who thinks of themselves as very unique and extraterestrial. I decided to use the image of the desert to look like a far off land, the stars to match their name, and the font to match what they stand for, outerspace.
