The temple like structure on the left is actually a monastery, named the Tiger's Nest or the Taktsang Monastery. Located at an elevation of about 1000m from the Paro valley, this monastery is a must see for every soul endeavoring to get a spiritual experience and determined enough to endure the 3hr trek!
The Tiger's Nest. Legend has it that Guru Padmasambava sat on the back of a tigress and flew to this mountain and killed all the demons and spirits that lived there and the monastery was built to his tribute. About 20-30 monks live in the monastery.

IIt's in Thimphu but I forgot the name... it must be Tashicho Dzong. It's a monastery where monks live and learn Buddhist spiritual literature and offer prayers to the Buddha. The cover page with two monks was shot just at the entrance of the monastery.

Bhutan

A collection of photographs from my trip to Bhutan in September 2010. There is too much to see out there. The pristine beauty of this country is surely one of its kind. I could only cover a few places in and around Thimphu and Paro. Next time I will travel to more places.
