Ikea Dishwasher
This project was designing a dishwasher for Ikea. I was inspired by European dish racks that sit above the sink, which can also serve as a way to present nice dish ware. This dishwasher has a frame that the consumer builds and picks a style to match their kitchen. After it is mounted, the machine simply slides into place and locks within the frame, making easy removal if need be. It has a glass from that serves to showcase dishes, but also the elegance of the water during the cleaning process. However, if one has dirty dishes they do not wish to see, the glass can be tinted, thus hiding the unsightly dishes.
