Spindles in the making
Leg Base in the making - A 11”x6”x1” block of teak wood was used. The parts were then cut out from rectangular pieces using a jig-saw and filed using a sanding machine. The spindles are 2 mm in diameter at the top and increase to 3 mm towards the middle. They then taper down to 2.5 mm towards the bottom. These spindles were prepared by first cutting out 4 mm cuboidal pieces which were around 20 cm long. They were then rounded using a filer and sand paper. The leg joinery is tongue in groove.
