Investigating human computer interaction (HCI), user interface design and evaluation, HCI design and requirements elicitation, multimodal interfaces, mobile computing, virtual reality and accessibility.
The project brief: To design an application for visitors of the University of Nottingham, to help navigate around the campus.
Key considerations included; Understanding the importance of human physical cognitive and organisational characteristics in interface design.
Application of a range of design and evaluation approaches and techniques and critical analysis of a variety of interface and technology types with respect to interface design guidelines.
Recognising the variety of interaction design requirements for a range of types of multimodal technologies.
