Computer Modelling Systems (CMS) & Design for Manufacture (DFM)

2013-2014
Computer Modelling Systems (CMS):
Using CAD software, computer animation and visualisation software. (Creo Parametric and 3D Studio Max). Developed advanced modelling techniques to create complex forms through the use of features and surfacing.

3D Studio Max was used to enable CAD data to be visualised in a photo realistic manner. These elements included; basic surfacing, lighting, rendering, surface materials and texture.

Design for Manufacture (DFM):
Using CAD-CAM techniques and tools for manufacturing and product development.
Exploring design for manufacturability and assembly, prototyping, rapid prototyping/tooling, additive manufacturing, jigs and fixtures, process planning, group technology and design for cost.
