WONDERPLACE IS A SOUTH KOREAN CLOTHING STORE CHAIN FOR trendy, fashion-minded, youthful men and women. I was first introduced to the brand during the time I spent teaching English in Daejeon, a city a couple of hours south of Seoul.
After returning, I decided to take on the job of exploring what it would look like for them to take their business online. Currently, they only have a somewhat outdated informational website that lists brick-and-mortar locations and some background about the company. I imagined that they would be interested in preserving their branding, including their logo but, the rest was up to me. The first product would be an ecommerce responsive website where they would be able to sell their products online, both domestically and internationally. My focus, however was on translating the WonderPlace brand for the U.S. market.
