Design and Analysis of Hairator

To design and create a prototype for removing bits of hair after a haircut using 3D printing. It reduces the cumbersome work of removing the hair with a blower/ brush and with the help of static energy collects the hair in the device. This product does not exist in the market and our unique approach would solve a big pain point for hair salons. A SolidWorks model of the product is made which is then subjected to static finite element analysis. The analysis aims in determining the workability of the materials used in 3D printing of the product against the temperature generated on the protruding pins of the generator. The study will also determine a suitable material and process for 3D printing based on different factors like durability, thermal safety, cost and weight.
