The Tempest

Based on The Tempest by William Shakespeare, the project was done in association with the Victoria and Albert Museum, London and the Prague Quadrennial for the Shakespeare exhibition at the Museum in May 2014.

The concept revolves around the characters' connections and disconnections to the Island with wool being a central material used in all the costumes. The treatment of wool brings out the characters with hand-spun, organic wool for the Islanders and rigid, structured processed wool felt for the Nobles.

Alonso and Antonio's costumes are inspired from a vulture owing to their similar characteristics.
