When capital controls were imposed by the Greek government, the banks were closed and people started running to ATMs.
This meant that all transactions had to be provided by ATM machines that were scarce in number and could only hold that amount of money inside them.
Quickly people were in need of new information, ATM locations on the map and what is the current status of each ATM. The infrastructure was not there so a mobile application that would leverage the power of the crowd through crowd-sourcing could be a solution to the problem: ATMspot
