Photography and Collages
I majored in photography but I've always been an avid drawer. I wanted to find a way to meld the two media and developed a set of lights that I could draw with while shooting. As I've gotten older, I find that more often then not - my images tend to incorporate a wide swath of media before the final image is considered complete. Currently I will create several photo collages, draw an image from that collage, create an etching of that image, possibly create a painting, and combined all of those elements digitally. I suppose these could be considered photographic sketches rather than an end all, be all image.
