Here is 2 hours of craft work with some cardboard tubes, drawn by my daughters. In this prototype I didn’t use any glue by the moment, all the junction are made with cardboard joint; because at the moment I try to realize a stool that could be assembled at the moment, when you need it, see other sheet.
Maybe I have to reduce the top component to the half part in order to reduce the cantilever.
