OHRI - sophomore
Inspired by Touch the Sound, a documentary about a deaf percussionist named Evelyn Glennie, this project focuses on exploring alternative methods of alerts. Ohri functions as a alarm clock, regular clock, speaker, and night-light, targeting a vast audience because it is customizable for various types of sleepers through its sound and light volumes. It plays on sensory perception and sensitivity through movement, sound and light. Ergonomic touch sensors invite the hand while user engagement optimizes the playful and mischievous quality of the product. Perfect from youth to adulthood, this close interaction between man and machine provides a unique user experience and happy way to start the day.
