The client is a non-profit art and science center, founded upon the legacy of a prominent curator and director at MoMA in New York. Hosting residencies, conferences, and workshops, its mission is to create a dialogue between artists, scientists, critics, and art historians. To develop their identity, I collaborated closely with the Founder, Executive, and Associate Directors. Top three elements to communicate were: art, science, and synergy. The client expressed their interest to refrain from conventional or corporate branding. The target audience is mid-career to fully-established artists, scientists, scholars, critics, and art historians. The organization is named after its location in the South of France, where such iconic artists lived and worked. Inspired also by Oliver Byrne’s Elements of Euclid, I was interested in conveying a geometric aesthetic. I designed a triangle tracing the center's plot of land, playing on its mathematical symbolism.
