Exploration of aftermarket vehicle specific kits for the Sirius Sportster 4.
There is a huge opportunity to design vehicle specific accessories for the Sirius Satellite radio line. Much like the vehicle specific kits sold by Metra, or American International, the Sirius Sportster dock is an example of an aftermarket solution to mounting the receiver. Currently the unit is sold with a suction cup and a vent clip, both solutions are cumbersome and unattractive. The Sportster 4.
S4 Sirius Sportster 4 dash mounted dock. - The Dash mounted dock is secured with double sided adhesive tape, or double sided Velcro. This allows the user to have the unit installed without permanent mounting holes and can be reverted back to OEM specs quite easily. The user is able to remove the receiver, and receiver base for safe keeping and all that remains on the dash is a dock that wouldn't interest anyone to break into the car.
