The VaporWeave seat design is aimed
at creating an ergonomic, lightweight replacement strategy to traditional car seats. The concept eliminates 90% of material from a standard seat and replaces it with strong yet lightweight materials that can be produced, shipped, constructed, and most importantly de-constructed with consideration to natural resources, the environment, and life cycle assessment. Our inspiration is drawn from simple materials with complex construction, with applicable benefits to comfort, support, temperature and durability. We aim to prove that car seats don’t have to be a cumbersome amalgam of fabrics, plastics, foams and adhesives, but instead a cohesive sleek, and ultimately environmentaly-friendly design.
