'Addiction Safe House'

For Johns Hopkins Magazine
About safe consumption spaces for illegal drugs, which a professor in the Bloomberg School of Public Health is suggesting as a way to combat drug overdoses. This idea is modelled on Insite, located in Vancouver, which is North America’s first supervised drug injection centre; where people can safely inject, smoke, or inhale illegal drugs such as heroin, cocaine, and morphine. They are supervised by trained medical staff without fear of prosecution.
