Yuma Crossing National Heritage Area - Pivot Point
Exterior graphics interpret historic aspects of settlement in this public park and site of the original Southern Pacific Railroad line that crosses the Colorado River into California. This National Heritage Area was a major route in the settlement of the United States by having the narrowest crossing point of the Colorado River for over 1000 miles. Working with the Director of the Heritage Area and a Landscape Architect, interpretive panels concentric to the original foundation of the railroad’s swing span bridge, highlight aspects of the railroad and early settlement.
