Infused Decor 'Safa'
Furniture has never been part of India’s tradition. Most people sat, slept and ate on the floor. Early European visitors to India were struck by the lack of furniture in mansions and palaces. What they found were low chairs, if any, placed on woven floor carpets, Dhurries and Bolsters were provided for sitting on or against.
The aim of the project is to develop a collection of furniture keeping Gufram’s design ethics in mind and using Indian hues as an inspiration. The collection aims to showcase contemporary interpretation of Indian motifs fabrics and traditions. It also aims at opening new horizons for Gufram in the Indian market scenario.
