A Project held in collaboration with Italdesign-Giugiaro will focus on the design of a VW Golf for the year 2020.
The intention is to commemorate the 50 year anniversary of the legendary Golf MK1 and its creator, Mr. Giorgetto Giugiaro. The idea is to create what Mr. Giugiaro would have done if he had to design the car again today.
This design is inspired by Italdesign and the evolution of the strong design elements in the existing Golf.
This project is divided in two designs:
The first design is part of my Master Thesis for IAAD University (Torino). The project was managed by Mr. Marco Vendrame, designer at Italdesign and was presented to Mr. Giorgetto Giugiaro for consideration.
The second design is my individual vision on the Volkswagen Golf Vision 2020. This design is more focused in using modern lines and materials. Inspiration comes from the MK1 but with a more futuristic concept than in the previous project.
