WHOLE FOODS PUBLIC PLAZA
This plaza is dedicated to the past mayor of Fremont, Bob Wasserman, who worked to improve equality among minority families within the city. This plaza was created to provide these families a break within the developed city where they can stop and relax within a communal outdoor space. The plaza allows the Fremont community plenty of seating opportunities where they can converse, eat lunch or dinner, and find comfort under a shaded tree. The fountain design was refined using SketchUp to improve the fluidity and sound of the water as it travels from the upper pool to the lower basin. The SketchUp model also helped to visually see the plaza before construction and arrange the tables and benches to create various spaces for the community. Designed by Design Focus - Olivia Waller
