Sustainable Design - Water Bottle Cap
Sustainable design project based on research that the majority users of plastic water bottles do no re-use or recycle them, which leaves 1.5 million tonnes of plastic waste per year.
This product is designed to be a re-usable water purifier for single use water bottles. Because single use bottles are designed for one time use the necks of the bottles are so thin so they are difficult to wash out properly. This means bacteria builds up over time. The "reusable water bottle filtration cap" allows the user to transfer it from bottle to bottle, after a 7 day usage period - hence the crank to allow you to monitor this timescale.
