Target concept - Monkey - This was a concept done for Target featuring a monkey character that I created from scratch. The bag was never made.
Target concept - Dream Big - This was a concept done for Target featuring their mascot, Bullseye. I created the illustration of the dog using a photograph of a Bull Terrier for reference. I also drew the bones.
Target concept - Ye Olde Jute Bag - Since jute is a rough fiber not unlike burlap, I decided to go for an old timer feel to the bag by emulating blacksmith shop signs.
Fight Prostate Cancer - A concept for prostate cancer awareness.
Earth Day - World Tree - An Earth Day design for large grocery chains. This is one of the two that was accepted. Most of the stores who bought this bag are based on the east coast.
Earth Day concept - world pattern - This is a rejected concept for the Earth Day bag. Originally this design was made around a poem, but eventually the poem was dropped. The image on the right is the bag gusset.
Haagen-Dazs concept - Bee Dance - This was an idea I had for Haagen-Dazs, which at the time was doing a promotion to save the honey bee.
Claires bag concept - Butterfly Peace - This was a very early concept for Claire's. This would eventually become the pink heart design that's also featured in this portfolio. It's too bad none of the bags with this design got made. Teenage girls would have loved it.
Claire's bag concept - Butterfly Heart - This ended up being the final version of the butterflies concept. It went from a peace sign done in earth tones to a Valentine's Day theme. Again I wish any version of this bag were made. Seems a waste since it's a nicer design than many of the ones that were approved.
Dave's Fresh Market concept - Hot/Cold - Concept for an insulated lunch bag for Dave's Fresh Market.
Kwikshop bag concept - Nuture Nature - Concept design for Kwikshop and their line of grocery stores. This is a general purpose bag with an environmental message.
Circus Fruits concept - Big Top - Concept for Circus Fruits in New York, a small grocery store. The client rejected this design in favor of a design that featured clowns. This was a much nicer looking design than the accepted one.
Albertson's Healthy Eater - This was a kid's lunch bag made for Albertsons.
Los Angeles Clippers - Handled production mockup for a promotional bag for the Los Angeles Clippers.
Pike Brewing Company - It was unfortunate that this bag was never made due to budget concerns. The client had a beautiful array of beer bottle labels. The real challenge was cutting the design down to the minimum amount of colors. I ended up with 6 by the last draft.
House of Liquor, Sitka - I had to adapt the colorful painting that's featured on House of Liquor of Sitka's business card into a 2-3 color design. I think the results turned out pretty good.
Longhouse Market & Deli - Many of the bags I made while at Earthwise had artwork provided, but about 90% of the artwork had to be modified in some way. In the case of Longhouse, we had to cut a color out and figure out what bag color would best suit the design.
