Disgaea 2007 Calendar - Being a really big fan of strategy role playing games, especially Disgaea, it was a great pleasure working on this calendar. Hexagons play a prominent role in the overall look of the calendar, just like they do in most strategy RPG games.

FLCL 2007 Calendar - Since FLCL is a strange show that flips things around in different directions, I thought it might be neat to design a calendar with that type of feel. That's why all of the numbers are on the top with the splash image on the bottom.

Samurai Champloo 2006 Calendar - Samurai Champloo mixes hip-hop styling in a medieval Japan setting. That's the feel I tried to get, creating the record backdrop for the cover with subdued graffiti styling. For the inside, I wanted to go for a tapestry type of feel and really emphasize the artwork, so the actual "calendar" part takes up less than 1/4 of the spread.

Gungrave 2006 Calendar cover - For the action video game and anime series Gungrave, I decided to emphasize the whole opposite sides of the coin motif. Also I added bullet shells. Lots and lots of bullet shells. The Gungrave characters were originally designed by Yasuhiro Nightow of Trigun fame.

Trigun 2007 Calendar cover - I tried to play off the wild west theme with lots of dusty browns and opposing WANTED signs on both sides of the cover.

Hellsing 2007 Calendar cover - Though I'm not much for goth stylings, it was fun trying to see how many bats I could fit on the front and back covers. Deteriorating text and the prayer quotation really set the mood. Of course you can't have vampires without the colors black and red.
