-Medical Device For Children-
This was a group project where we were given an illness and an age group and were told to design around those parameters. Even though childhood cancer is rare, it is the leading cause of death by disease in children. IVs become a huge part of a child’s life when treating different forms of cancer. The aim of this project is to disconnecting a child from what they are connected to (IVs) in hopes that it will improve the treatment experience for the child and speed up their healing process. By targeting specific areas in medical equipment and steps in the chemotherapy process, we were able to discover product interactions that could be improved such as comfort, efficiency, flexibility, and mobility.
