Migratory Bird Awareness Campaign - Birds become confused by bright lights and can lose their way. Many crash and die or fly in loops around it and die of exhaustion. In daytime, they can mistake reflections in windows for trees or open space even on ground level. Up to 1,000 birds of over 100 species can die colliding with a single building per day and night in NY.
The goal is to educate the public and raise an awareness by making it visual and memorable for them.
