An upcycling-concept considering previous sales documents has been developed in cooperation with „Südwolle-Group“. The mathematic challenge – „Squaring the Circle“ stands symbolically for an unsolvable task. A solution is only possible if the parameters are being altered. Restructuring former systems does not seem to be possible. A change in the process can be achieved by overcoming the feeling of powerlessness, not trying to solve the whole problem at once and by bringing to mind, that conversion is possible through development. It is important to realise that everyone has the opportunity of action and action is relevant. „Squaring the Circle“ stands for individual courage, for the textile industries’ development towards sustainable solutions and for the rectangular pieces of fabric, that are being re-integrated into the cycle. The connection of the people and their environment is being depicted by a patchwork pattern. Many special details add up to an entity. We are all one.
