Cog Machine - This is a mechanical model built in Alias Studio Tools. This model is also a real working product and was grown on a rapid prototype machine. It is designed so that the motion of one gear causes each other gear to rotate in the opposite direction. To do this, minimum tolerances were gauged against dimensions down to the ten-thousandth of an inch so that the gears would be able to receive the best locking grip, while not becoming stuck together during the growing process.
