The inspiration for this collection was the light modeling technique used in art, sculpture and architecture of the 16th century "chiaroscuro". The three dimensional volume is suggested with light and shadow. I have tried to depict this movement from clarity into obscurity in the textiles as forms are revealed and gradually hidden. The focus has been to establish an aesthetic merger of the European style with Indian sensibilities.
