House of Shadow and Wind

Studio Design II, February 2011.
School of Architecture, University of Tehran.

The main challenge of this design was how to encounter the climate. The project site is in Kish Island, in south of Iran, where is famous for its hot and humid weather.
Providing as much shadow as possible and also a passive way for ventilation, were goals of this design. Design of the house is inspired by vernacular architecture of southern islands of Iran.
