Duett 21 c by Volvo
Objective:
Before turning it's attention to premium cars only, Volvo was renowned as a maker of practical and durable cars, such as the P445/P210 Duett. This dependable work-horse gave rise to generations of iconic station wagons, which all helped to strengthen Volvo's brand image. With this project, I wanted to bring back the spirit of the early Volvo station wagons, in a modern context. My focus has been to create an utilitarian and versatile family of cars with well defined but simple and robust shapes, that are unmistakably Volvo. Inspiration comes from the original Duett, the 245, 745 and the V70. The Idea is that Duett would be launched as a sub-brand for commercial vehicles and more practical family cars. More versions will follow.
