The Little Tender - A fast 22 footer, inspired by the classic italian Aqua Riva, containing some contemporary influences from yacht builders like Frauscher. Fluid lines and soft volumes reminiscent of 1950s automotive styling and product design.
My objective was to design a compact and integrated overall appearance. To accomplish a visually streamlined exterior, utilities such as a table, lighting and cleats are flush fitted, the anchor and rear acces steps are both concealed behind a hatch.
"2Go" Renault interior concept / Foldable caravan concept - Top: Car interior future study in cooperation with Renault. "2Go" - the interior you wear! Insipred by 30's racing culture. Goggles in stead of windshield, steering wheel detachable as bag, gauges worn as wristwatch.
Bottom: Foldup mobile home, aerodynamic while towed (though normal trackwidth), doubled floorspace when unfolded.
"PATINE" Renault interior concept - THE INTERIOR THAT GAINS CHARACTER WITH WEAR AND AGING. ALSO IT REFLECTS THE OWNER'S DRIVING STYLE. USING MATERIALS LIKE COPPER, WAXSTONE, DEERLEATHER - THEIR APPEARANCE CHANGES POSITIVELY DUE TO HUMAN TOUCH AND USAGE WEAR.
"FOLDOUB" Foldable caravan - Based upon the basic principle of a classic travelsleeper, after unfolding, 'FolDoub' generously doubles the available floorspace of an average mid-sized caravan. Easily stowed and due to the slim bodyshape's good aerodynamics, easily towed. Still firm on the road thanks to a 5ft. trackwidth.
"SUAVARE" Lightweight foldable beach chair - Low-cost, lightweight beach chair. Unfold the mat, pull the ripcord and the chair curls into an S-shape, chaise-longue style. Concave curves and cord perfectly balance and support bodyweight.
Wall light / AudioCube - Top: Wall lighting system. Light module is freely movable along thin steel cables which provide the low voltage neon-light with electricity. Bottom: Autonomous audio system. Basic audio cd-player, amp and speakers combined in sleek white finished wooden body.
"BULK 'O' FUN" Bulk carrier Funfair - REDEFINING THE FUNFAIR BY CHANGING ITS FACILITATING ENVIRONMENT. AFTER IT'S ECONOMICAL LIFESPAN,A BULK CARRIER IS NO LONGER ELIGABLE FOR HEAVY TRANSPORT SO IT GETS SCRAPPED, CONTINUING TO BE AN ENVIRONMENTAL HAZARD. 'OLD' TANKERS WOULD BE A GREAT PLACE TO FACILITATE A FUNFAIR WITH BOTH SPECTACULAR AND CULTURAL ATTRACTIONS. USING EXISTING ELEMENTS AS ATTRACTIONS,TROPICAL BASINS OR EXPOSITION SPACES, ETC.
CARRIERS LIKE THESE WOULD TRAVEL TO BIG HARBOURS AROUND THE WORLD FOR GLOBAL ENTERTAINMENT.
"SWITCH" Bicycle frame concept - The top part of the frame swivels around a pivoting point, allowing the user to easily switch the frame's geometry from sportive to comfortable. Steering works over the normal axle through a rod inside the frame, connected via ball-joints to the front-fork.
"CYCLOPSE" Firetruck logistics concept - TACKLING 2 MAJOR ISSUES WITHIN MODERN DAY FIREFIGHTING IN THE NETHERLANDS AS WELL AS OTHER COUNTRIES, E.G. RISTRICTED ACCES IN DOWNTOWN AREAS AND UNNECESSARY OCCUPATION OF RECOURCES WHEN RESPONDING TO AUTOMATED FIRE ALARMS (99% FALSE) WHILE THEIR NEED MIGHT BE GREATER ELSEWHERE. 'CYCLOPSE' SPLITS THE CURRENTLY USED LARGE, HEAVY FIRETRUCKS INTO THREE AGILE URBAN VEHICLES. THEY SHARE THE SAME 6 MAN PERSONNEL AND HAVE THEIR OWN DISCIPLINES: FIREFIGHTING, TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE AND CHEMICAL HAZZARDS.
