Can I Have a Pet? - I created these illustrations with ink and watercolor for an early children's book reader (beginning reading level). The story (although simple in text) is about a little girl interacting with personified animals, trying to find her best friend. The book ends with a surprise; a lion is holding the girl who has been transformed into a puppet. She is only a doll in the lion's puppet show.
