I wanted this lamp to embody an understated amount of design; to be able to support the rooms decor without overpowering it while at the same time be able to proudly stand on its own. The name comes from the root-like base, tall slender neck, and strong wide shade. Just a a tree's roots pull nutrients from the ground the lamps cord pulls power from the wall and runs it up the "trunk".
Detail: The cord is celebrated and is openly displayed going up the lamp. It is secured to the center shaft with two o-rings.
