Small Table with Folding Extension - Birch Ply & Acrylic

This was a quick modelling exercise I chose to do after substantially helping one of my students with the idea and prototyping. Birch ply panels are CNC routed, glued and screwed together, off-the shelf plastic inserts hide the screw heads. The acrylic top is simply laser cut and the top edges are bevelled and then polished up on a wheel by hand. Axles for the hinged leaves are made of a 10mm diameter hardwood and glued inside the leaf 'fingers'. Glue used was Titebond Orginal (Aliphatic resin).
