'Ovale' (Industrial Design - Year 3)
The 'Ovale' is a result of a group project, aimed at understanding how an existing product works and developing a design as part of a team.
Each individual was asked to design their own kettle. We were then put in to a team of three and asked to choose one of our designs to develop. As the brief required us to understand how the product worked, we reverse engineered an existing kettle in order to understand it, then modelled it in Solidworks in order to show they could fit into our own design. The deliverable was an A0 presentation board showing our teams design, displaying all of the internal components in as much detail to prove we had understood the brief.
