Heilstatten Table

Heilstatten Table - Designed in Beelitz Heilstatten, a very small town in Germany during my stay in the European Exchange Academy 2009. With my design partner Diane Espiritu, materials and tools was very limited. A simple task of finding paint became a 4 hour adventure through town.

We decided to use an old (1950s?) hospital bed frame and old wooden shelves. The finished design parallels our academy building's history to new life (Heilstatten roughly translate into a 'place of well being').
