Type in Environment. - The assignment was to (as a group of four) take photos of various forms found in the environment that appear to be typographic characters. This is the entire alphabet plus a few other characters (period, asterisk, question mark...)
Descriptive Font Design - In this project, we were instructed to design two modular typefaces, meant to reflect two random words we drew out of a hat. I was assigned spontaneous and agitation.
Font Mannerisms - In exploring an assigned typeface (I was given Chaparral Pro), we were instructed to come up with single words to describe the font. We then, in turn, were supposed to arrange the typeface in ways that make apparent two of the words. I chose Classical and Versatile to represent Chaparral Pro.

Az-If Posters - In designing these posters, we were instructed to find two quotes about either graphic design or typography that we would set in a way that reflects the message of quote. The designs were to be type-only with the only possible addition of subtle vectors.

Final Type Booklet. - The assignment was to make an accordian fold, type only booklet designed around the given studio object of another student (I ended up with the Brownie Camera). Instead of printing it out on the large format printer, however, I screen-printed each page on an individual plank of wood and bound the book with canvas to create the accordion fold effect. The final "book" is contained within a sewn, sued sack.
