The Nevis Wall, NUMBER:Lab Installation

The Nevis Wall was a project commissioned by NumberLab for their 2012 fall/winter fashion show at NYC Fashion Week. The project was created by the third year industrial design studio. My responsibilities included conceptual designer, project manager, and illustrator. The client's vision was to combine the designs of Buckminster Fuller with mountain climbing. To stay within budget, the project was constructed of wooden dowels that were attached by lacrosse balls and wrapped in tulle fabric. Within the structure were icicle-like forms that doubled as wearable garments. View the video of the show here: http://vimeo.com/36526061
