Solar Powered Vending Machine
For my senior engineering project, I was the team leader/ project manager of a group of four tasked with building a solar powered vending machine. The idea was mine, based on my love of hiking and camping. The goal of the machine was to be an oasis in remote areas, such as trails and campsites, that provided first aid kits, food, water, and the ability to call for help and give location information if needed. The project incorporated a refrigeration system, arduino based electrionics and programming system, laser cut and 3d printed mechanisms, and basic construction using various materials such as wood and acrylic.
