Kamaz Red Bull Project - Red Bull Kamaz Promotional Dj Vehicle design Brief.
Kamaz Red Bull Project - Final exterior design of the Kamaz vehicle. Some exterior panels would be made from fibreglass to reduce the body weight of the vehicle. Large front window was added, together with side windows for clear road view. The front doors would be in the shape of gull wing to allow for easy in & out access and for ease of carrying equipment into the vehicle.
Kamaz Red Bull Project - Trying to describe in word just doesn't quite cut it at times. When speaking to the Director that the rear of the cab would split in 2 and open up either side so that the Dj could preform to a wider audience, even on the phone I could hear him scratch his head. This design proved to be a challenge, with several problem solving issues to overcome. Working closely with the engineers, I came up with a design that was both realistic and could be made.
Kamaz Red Bull Project - This design idea was aimed to play for an audience at the side of the vehicle. Inside the rear cab, a hydraulic scissor lift would raise the floor containing the Dj equipment up out of the cab. Another hydraulic system would raise the roof up to the desired height.

Red Bull Kamaz Promotion Vehicle Design

Working for Red Bull A.G Switzerland in 2007, I was given the brief to design a Promotional DJ Vehicle based on a Russian KAMAZ 43269 Military APV. A chosen design was then selected, and developed and built by the DAKAR Engineering team.
