Anglepoise Type IIB
A live group project set by iconic British lighting company Anglepoise. In keeping with Anglepoise’s Play range, the brief stipulated that the product must not be lighting but instead have novelty.
The type IIB is an innovative development of the domestic ironing board. By utilising electromagnetic coils, clothes can be ironed by heat induction between the board and a wireless iron. The wireless iron heats instantly upon contact with the electromagnetic surface of the ironing board and cools rapidly once placed on the cooling section located to the rear of the board.
