My project looks at the issues based around the topic of consumerism, not only the effects that consumerism has on child labour, but the conditions these children are being forced to work in.

Trainer collecting is an everlasting fetish of mine - Researching into child labour and how trainers are produced broadened my understanding. It changed my attitude. These children work over 56 hours per week to make the trainers I purchase on a regular basis. I had been totally oblivious to this production process. I found it quite difficult to comprehend.

I have produced a board game to raise awareness into child labour and a chance for the ‘sneaker head’ community to come together and engage in a game that has primarily been designed for their use. There is so much content involved that relates to the obsession with sneaker collecting. Primarily designed to create a better working environment for these poor individuals living and working in these third world countries.
