Elements one first prise in a design competition in 2006 for Miele, 'Kitchen of the Future'. It is an ultrasonic washer/dryer. You hang your dirty clothes on the hanger, close the slimline drawer. The machine fills up with water and two ultrasonic plates gently but thoroughly transfer vibrations removing dirt from the clothes. When the machine is draining it acts as a vacuum removing all the moisture from the garments. Clothes are left washed, dried and ironed and ready to wear. The design uses less energy, less water, less space and is kind to fabrics.
