Naloxone Awareness Campaign

Red Lake Hospital created the program “Giving a Tomorrow” to inform the community about the new medication they are freely prescribing to anyone in need called Naloxone. Naloxone reverses effects of heroine and opioid medication, including drug overdose. The hospital wants to make people aware that Naloxone’s simple procedure makes it easy to use, so anyone can do it. The hospital desires to reach out to their people in a way that won’t make them feel as if they are being looked down upon and judged, but rather in an uplifting and an encouraging manner. The program’s goal is to reduce the number of opioid overdoses, help people suffering from opioid and heroin addictions, as well as their loved ones, by providing early access to this life-saving medication.
