My women's sportswear collection was inspired by the textures in sea shells collected on a vacation last summer in the Outer Banks, N.C. I wanted to mimic the textures and colors of the shells, and from this developed a felting technique I applied to multiple fabrics to achieve the feeling of the shells. After several weeks of development and research, I ended up making five looks that all utilize the needle felting technique I developed.
